Drama 4

We started reading our contemporary monologue choices yesterday. Of the 22 we heard we found about 7 that we thought were keepers. That should tell you how hard it is to find the right piece. Do not get discouraged if your piece was not the right one. Just keep on looking and you will find it.

Two major deadlines are approaching.
1. Your finalized college selection work sheet is due on Friday. If you need another one, they are on the sidebar labeled D4.
2. Your classical monologue choice is due on Monday.

Drama 2

We are continuing our study of film acting. Today we watched a great DVD with a master class by Michael Cain talking about the craft of film acting. We are having a great time moving toward the filming of our self written scenes. This week we will work on blocking and directing for the camera.

5th period
We started our study of the history of modern acting. All this week we will be looking at Stanislavski, The Moscow Art Theater and the Group theater. Check out the Stanislavski powerpoint on the typepad blog.
