Drama 4 movement exercises

Drama 4

By popular request, here is the list of movement exercises we did with our monologues today. I have put enough of a tidbit to jog your memory, if you need more clarification just ask.

1. Find physical contrast between pieces
2. Add vocal contrast
3. Proud, Shame, Hide- Find the body placement of character's proudest element, shame and hide. Place those things in the body accordingly to build a character body.
4. Active in a chair-Make the piece as physically dynamic as possible while sitting in a chair.
5. Reset the character's default gesture- Find a gesture never done before. Put it all through the body. Do the gesture with your feet, your hair, your center-etc. Perform the monologue doing the variances of the gesture all through the piece.
6. Gratowski 10-1- Choose key phrases in the work and physically act the piece using the emotion to body connection. This will be huge overblown movement. Turn it down, turn it down, turn it down, find it in realism.

Drama 2

Is hard at work staging their story theater pieces.
They got a wide awakening yesterday with diction notes on their poems. Students will perform their poems with improvements on Friday.
